Each day passes so quickly. We are already in mid Jan and a couple of weeks away from Chinese New Year! 2011 is quite a special year for us. First we welcomed 2011 with Watch Night Service in church as our choir was to sing for the service. Hubby and I hadn't attended any since our first child. But we did suffer a hangover for at least a few days. Buahahahahaha.... Nevertheless, it was worth it. A beautiful service, spending the quiet moment welcoming the new year, reflecting on God's goodness and His grace.
Indeed, we have a lot to be thankful for. We are officially a homeschool family as Nehemiah is due to be in Primary 1 this year. Yes, by the grace of God, we received our letter of exemption from MOE and so Nehemiah will continue his learning at home. Of course, we are looking forward to the arrival of our no. 3 blessing in May.

Better Each Day
I am now moving into the second trimester of my pregnancy. Yes, I am definitely much better. The discomfort is still there but it is more manageable now. For the record, my morning sickness will totally disappear when I am at 16 weeks. I am getting there.

The Joy of Motherhood 1
Our family have the habit of reading just before we drop off to Lala-land. So over the weekend, I was reading my book quietly with the boys besides me as we were preparing to sleep. Then Bei suddenly said, 'Mum, can I tell you bedtime stories so that you can have a good sleep?' I turned to look at him and nodded. (This is the mama who barely has the energy to talk due to the discomfort of the morning sickness.) So he started with the story of Curious George the monkey. It is a really fun book which tells about the adventures of Curious George. Seriously, we must thank Aunty Yin for giving him this book a couple of years back. :)
What a sheer delight to have your boy telling you bedtime stories! Hahahahahaha..... It is nice to be read to when you feel a little uncomfortable and do not have the energy to read out loud. And I must say he did a marvellous job and the mama had a most wonderful sleep that night. :)

Expecting our no. 3
Yes, we are expecting our no. 3 blessing. Not easy thus far with the morning sickness but God has been good and faithful. Of course, my better half has been most wonderful and supportive. The boys especially big brother, Bei has been helping me out with some of the houseworks like folding all our clothes and keeping the house tidy. Not forgetting dear Kai who helps in his little ways, like folding his own clothes and helping me whenever he can.
In all things, we give thanks and praise to God.
Blessings,
Amy aka Mama Yen
